With this exciting addition to the eHQ Ideas tool, you can now invite your community to upload photos with their ideas and to comment on other participants' ideas.
Not only will this provide a whole new dimension of participant engagement in your ideation activity, there is a lot more for your participants to do and explore. We believe this, over time, should increase your participants' return rates and lead to a higher overall engagement rate in projects with the Ideas tool enabled.
This upgrade has been out for a couple of weeks now and we are seeing the first few instances of it appearing in the wild. For example, there is the City of Charles Sturt in New South Wales, Australia, who have been asking their community to share ideas on how to make sidewalks and cyclesways more beautiful with artwork. A type of consultation that benefits naturally from the inclusion of photos....and it worked.
Just like our other tools, all comments and photos are subject to our moderation. As you know, we are committed to moderating all ideas, comments and photos within a couple of hours of being posted. Therefore mitigating a lot of risk for you.
Your participants can also report suspicious comments, ideas or photos if they see them before we do.
To turn on commenting and/or photos, navigate to your Ideas tool and simply tick the appropriate boxes. This can be done at any time, meaning you can even incorporate this into your consultation plan. For example, you might want to have a round of commenting enabled as the idea collection concludes and your participants start voting on the ideas.
All new Ideas tools will have both turned on by default. If you don't require this, simply turn it off.
If you have any questions about the use of Ideas....or you simply want to show off what you have done with it, please let us know via our EHQ chat or by emailing us at support@engagementhq.com
